sgoilear on the phone, by exiting to get to another menu, the computer rebooted its self. Apparently it re-routed around the problem, and hopefully it won't happen again. If it does, then I'll strip it and reformat. *whee*
So the computer is alive, and all of my things are backed up. They are ondthon's computer going to his iPod, then to mine. I think I'll use my iPod to back up the computer until I need the space for music. Then I'll move to the rewritable DVD's. Or maybe both. I'm a wee bit paranoid now. :) I'm just hoping the stupid Outlook thing will actually work. It's the program I trust the least in XP.
So I'm back online and have all my stuff, and have email again.
