Quick update about my lame weekend - and gentle highlights of the busy, manic but good week.

The week:
Applied for a job, got an interview and it's through a placement company. Interview was AWESOME. They submitted me on Friday, and I hope to hear back today or tomorrow. If that job falls through (which I want almost entirely for the money, but doesn't sound horrible either) they have other options they'd like to submit me to. So, that seems to be a big upswing on the job hunt front - but I'm not counting those chickens until they hatch. (But it does make me feel pretty snazzy about myself.) Other than that it was a great deal of going here and there and everywhere with Wednesday being the winner with three trips to Bellevue and back. To Bellevue for the sleep study results, home to pick up Tayet, back to the vet, home to drop off Tayet, and then a couple of hours later back to pick up the husband. *whee!* Also got to visit with [livejournal.com profile] cheriezel and got all of the work stuff I needed hemmed back except for the pain-in-the-ass dress. Go [livejournal.com profile] cheriezel!!!

Sleep study results:
I have mild sleep apnea, and am scheduled for my second sleep study where they fit me with a CPAP machine. I do like my Dr - he's a hoot. I scared the crap out of them though because my pulse was around 150 bpm when I first came in. They were very impressed when I slowed it. Yeah, my Aunt jokes that my Mom mated with a gerbil. I've always had a rapid pulse. 90's fairly normal for me - even when I was a teenager, and in shape. The funny thing is that for once, I'm not unusual, in fact I'm pretty normal, and a pretty boring case. *who-hoo* Although looking at the results, normal sleep is about 20% deep sleep, and since I have a "sleep debt" mine is about 80%. Which explains why I've been dreaming less the last few years. The hubby's just glad I'm not psychotic. I'm getting maybe one hour of REM in an average night. Not so good Bob.

Free Tayet:
Tayet should, this evening, be enjoying his first trip out of the chicken coop and the Pool Room. We've let his sister in to see him, and have been letting him have time out with us wandering the Pool Room. Ankhet's still hissing and being generally pissy, but too bad for her. If he behaves well, and doesn't use the carpet to try and open the mostly healed wound, he can stay out. Then we can find out if we can get the chicken coop out of the Pool Room in one piece - guess that's what happens when you build them inside a room in the middle of the night. I'm not looking forward to the cleaning part of the Pool Room - or the Tayet Proofing house run. We've gotten a little lax.

The Weekend:
I've been sick all weekend. I've missed visiting with [livejournal.com profile] mormonjulie who back in the USA for a week and [livejournal.com profile] argentyne who's back from vacation. I've missed X3, and lunch at Todai. I missed [livejournal.com profile] bizket's birthday at the zoo (a very wet one I bet) and I am super cranky - and still sick. I think. I've been sleeping WAY too much, periodic headaches, running a low grade fever and have been dizzy followed by bouts of nausea. Weirdly my appetite has been good, in between, and no actual vomiting so far. Highlight of the dizzy phase - I woke up on Saturday night and couldn't stop walking along the wall. I was bouncing off of it, trying to stand up right. Weirdly, once I turned the corner I was OK. But that was a bit scary.

As a result of my illness [livejournal.com profile] dthon's had to be up and working with Taproot to put in the fence posts and only got to sleep in on Monday. So much for the long weekend. But he at least managed to get out Sunday morning to have some Dim-sum with [livejournal.com profile] argentyne & [livejournal.com profile] mormonjulie while the fence guys worked around my sleeping self. I still feel bad that I ruined the weekend. Fence Posts went in though, and three of the fence panels went in on Sunday. Next weekend (or the one after that) they will come back and install the rest of the fence panels. Including the one that's being known as "the gnome door". So soon we'll have a Dog Proof back yard. Now if only we could get some dirt and grass back there....

So my weekend was pretty much a bust, but was productive on a house level thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dthon.
Me - I'm going to try a shower, and if that doesn't work out, I'm back to bed. Nope it's back to bed the cold sweats just started. F*ck. Still sick.
