OUR PUPPY!!!!!!

So the beautiful Oba was born November 7th.

We just got our first picture of her, so I thought I'd share.

We won't be seeing her in the flesh until summer as she has much growing and learning to do before coming out here to join the family. Not to mention all the work we have ahead to get this place dog friendly and ready. Ditches to dig, and a rock wall and gate to build, not to mention growing some grass out back. (I just re-read this and realized that it sounds like we're fortifying a castle for a siege. Sort of, but not really.)

But we just can't wait 'til summer comes!

So what is she? It's so hard to tell at that age. Miki was consantly accused of being a Great Dane when he was young.

My guess is she's a Rotwiller, but she could be a Doberman maybe or something I've never heard of. What ever she is she's cute!

Oh, the waiting must be agony. Love that you're getting a dog. I think more of our friends need to be dog people. Too many darn cats instead that wreak havoc with my allergies.

Well, we have two cats, so we'll be equal opportunity allergy offenders.

Oba will probably travel more than the cats have....and there are always play dates at the park.

Oba is just adorable! When in the summer does she get to come home?

Unknown. It depends on a number of factors, but the arrival date will become more clear as we get closer to summer. Depends on how well she learns, and how compact the show schedule ends up. It's all in the timing.

We're hoping for early summer, but we'll just have to wait and see...We can't wait though!
