Wanna know what happened with the "cage"?

Personal favorite "He'll be fine he's been a doll here, no problems with the confinement at all" and "He's so wonderful, PU's never purr."
(The first confinement crate was sized for the Dobe - towel, food bowl, water bowl, litter box & one pissed off cat)
Time to first "confinement crate" destruction and removal of hard e-collar = under 15 minutes.
I am so tired. I can't believe
dthon's making it to work, even at this late hour. I'm so bleary eyed and sore I don't know how I'm going to get Ankhet to her ultrasound.
Pets can be pains in the ass but I love the little buggers dearly. And as
dthon mentioned, pictures will have to happen.
....and if I ever harbored feelings of inadequacy of a pet owner, I don't think it's possible to continue at this point...

Date: 2006-05-04 06:32 pm (UTC)I know this situation isn't the least bit funny, but damn, I can just see destructo-cat making short work of cage and collar. I kind of wish there was a video.
I called in sick when Zoey kept me up all night during that hell week of sick dog-ness. I felt guilty about it, because who calls in sick for their pet? Well, me, as it turns out. One of my friends with kids told me "If anyone ever tells you you don't know what it's like to deal with a sick child, don't believe them. This is exactly what it's like." For many of us, I think our pets are kind of like our kids. We love them and at the same time, want to cry in frustration when they get us up at 3AM.
I have great respect for

Date: 2006-05-04 10:58 pm (UTC)Oh, it's funny all right. It's just the kind of funny that you have to wait for if you were actually involved. I do wish we had a picture or a video. I'd like to know how he gets those damn things off. The entire time we were downstairs working on the cage we could hear him thumping around. It was unbelievable.
They are our kids, and in someways it's harder because you can't reason with them at all. Ever. Unlike children who grow up to where you can reason with them. Of course then they learn to talk back, and you regret they ever learned. :)
Me I got to get up take the other cat to the Radiologist and help hold her for an hour while they did the ultrasound. She was a total pain-in-the-ass, usually she's the good one. I'm still covered in cat fur, and she's not talking to me anymore. I'll be doing an update on her condition later tonight or tomorrow, but it's still up in the air...but not immediately life threatening.

PS - it wasn't woken up at three, it was up until three making the damn cage. Wait 'till you see it - it's hysterical.
