Hey, [livejournal.com profile] rhienelleth!

Yeah we've seen the finale of 2.5 - Ready to start 3.0.

So what did you want to ask me?

(Spoilers up to 2.5 end in comments)

So, barring the Lee fat suit of evil, what did you think of the ending, skipping ahead a year, etc?

Do you feel Season 2 was a disappointment after Season 1, or roughly as good, or better?

What did you love most about Season 2, and what happened that got no love?

(DVDs are on their way to you, FYI, RE:S3.)

....or would be, if I could find your address to slap onto this envelope, all nice and tidy with Eps 3x01-3x05 tucked inside. If you e-mail me by lunch, I will drop it in our outgoing mail box.

Mailed, but probably too late.

Thanks!

I liked season 2 - and I had been forewarned about the skipping a year, so it wasn't much of a surprise. I think season 1 had a more consistent thrum of speed and fear that season 2 had troubles with. Time was in a real time sort of way (day 3, 44 hours, so on) in season 1, but was much more fluid and random (it's been months, when did that happen?) which made the overall tension slip. Certain episodes were balls to the wall tension, but the overall tension when down a notch.

The biggest bitch about season 2 was the crap with the 3 sucktastic episodes.

My favorite thing in season 2 - was Starbuck going back to her apartment. Seeing the paintings and hearing her Dad's music (she was beaten as a kid - do we ever hear more of that???). There was a lot I liked about season 2...Dee and Lee I didn't like (mostly because of how they did it) but I liked Dee as the heart of the ship - I liked the things she said, and the things she dared to say, and things she dared to do. Dee was it's emotional center, and now she's kind of Lee's girlfriend. Eh. We'll see how that goes. Oh, and the Baltar in 6's head. That was like the best. I liked all of the emotional conflicts and the religious vs. the practical.

And the fat suit didn't bother me as much as the mustache. Seriously.
